Uncharted 2: The Lab Weekend July 23rd to the 25th

REMINDER: The Lab – Grenades Only

This weekend Naughty Dog opened up the Lab game mode for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Multiplayer. For those of you who do not know what the Lab game mode consists of or have not even played Uncharted 2, the Lab game mode opens up every weekend with somewhat of a modded game mode. For the whole weekend the Lab will be open, but it consists of one tweaked game mode for the duration of that weekend.

This weekend I was surprised to have loaded up this game, excited about the Lab game mode, and discovered that this weekend it consists of grenades only. At first when I saw that it would be this I began to think that this is the dumbest thing ever. When you actually get to playing the Grenades only matches you get an awesome feel for it. This game mode is just pure fun. I enjoyed the fact that you can just launch grenade after grenade towards your enemies and watch them struggle to avoid being caught within you explosive blinking red mine field.

Now I would like to go over some tips to help you as a player to thrive in this weekends the Lab playlist. First of all, it is key that you keep moving because believe me I have played one match where I suddenly stopped moving to aim a grenade with the arc and I was immediately blown into pieces. Movement is the key to success, so do not try camping anywhere because chances are some one knows you are their and begin to bomb you with grenade after grenade until you meet your demise.

Another tip that could really help you out this weekend is when you quick launching your grenades. If you want to survive, but you are being tailed by an opposing team member, you need to keep moving and send some fire power back at your pursuer. I hope these two tips help you out. These tips will help you stay alive for longer periods of time and give you less of a chance of becoming someone's bitch. If you have not played the lab this weekend I suggest you get out their and play now. Grenades only matches may seem boring, but actually pretty fun. It may be a little hard for you to get into a game and play good because the map is always shaking do to the rumbling of the grenades, but once you get used to it turns out to be a fun game mode for all.

Batman: Arkham City Review

Video game sequels can get a bit dull now-a-days, especially when developers start spewing them out as if they were rendered on a mechanical manufacturing line. Since we, as a gaming community, are exposed quite often to sequels that were "rushed out of the gate", we might be getting ourselves into a terrible dilema. However, there are some sequels that just blow you away. With mind-blowing mechanics, a simply amazing plot, and a noticeable step up from the previous release. Arkham City is sure to completely transform anyone who gets their hands on this game into the Dark Knight. Plot      In the previous release, Batman: Arkham Asylum, the facility on Arkham Island is left in ruins thanks to the menacing Joker's all out plan. In desperate need for a new facility to imprison Gotham's most dangerous thugs, Professor Hugo Strange is elected warden and is given approval to set up a new facility in the slums of Gotham City. In an attempt to ...
