Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception delivers an exceptional multiplayer experience. One feature that makes it's multiplayer amazing is the vast amount of maps. Today I am not going to be discussing the newly released maps that came bundled in the Uncharted 3: Flashback Map Pack #1 . Instead, I will covering my favorite three original Uncharted 3 maps. So with no further hesitations, lets get this article cracking.

Naughty Dog came out earlier today to announce their first batch of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception download-able content for 2012. Get ready for a bundle of maps rebuilt from the previous game, Uncharted 2, as well as a wide variety of your favorite Uncharted characters “pre Weight Watchers” style. Naughty Dog is bringing back four sweet maps from Uncharted 2: The Cave, Fort, Lost City, and Sanctuary maps are now part of the playing field in Uncharted 3. “Dynamic lighting effects, new particle effects and a slew of technical changes have been made to these maps” which in turn revamps the four original Among Thieves maps. Without a subscription to the Fortune Hunters Club DLC Pass the map pack will cost $9.99 USD. On Naughty Dog's official blog they announced the release of the Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Patch 1.03 . The patch brought a seemingly small amount noticeable tweaks, but in the long run Naughty Dog was preparing the game for some new downloadable content. Update 01/17/11: Take a look at the brand new Flashback Map Pack #1 for Uncharted 3. In the post Naughty Dog stated, " Full details on the DLC content will be posted by January 17th. " Although the official content has not yet been announced, one could assume that the content will most likely be the "Flashback map pack" announced by Naughty Dog not too long after the game's release. The "Flashback" map pack features two revamped maps from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. "The Fort" and "The Cave" are both based off of maps in Uncharted 2, but the forecast is different. "The Fort" map has been rendered to a dark, gloomy, and rainy experience. "...

     The Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Patch 1.02 has arrived and brings tithings of both single player and multiplayer stability. Feast your eyes on the many improvements and additions that this update brought below. Updates to Single Player Now you can take a look at all of those precious cinematic moments all over again with the addition of a Movie cutscene from the Bonuses Menu. Apparently a 'Motion Blur' effect for single player was missing. Well consider that fixed, although I myself had not noticed it's absence due to the fact that I absolutely did not expect it. You now have the ability to change up your aim settings in Single Player through the 'Alternate Aim Settings' added to the Options menu which can be found under Camera options. Updates to Multiplayer  Now when you set all of your controls to 'Flip Mode' in multiplayer, they will not be changed back to the default mode.      Pure awesomeness has struck and the impact is unbelievable, well at least for me. Now all of us Uncharted 3 multiplayer fanatics have a load of more content packs coming our way with the release of a Killzone skin pack today, and a map pack in the hopefully not too distant future.       The whole Killzone implementation into the Uncharted franchise is nothing new, Naughty Dog did it with Uncharted 2 and now are adding the feature to their new release. However something has changed with this release. Now you can choose which pieces of the Helghast armor you want to wear, rather than having to prance and snap necks in full on Helghast gear but the option is still available.       In addition to the Killzone downloadable content, on Playstation's Blog Naughty Dog announced that the first wave of Uncharted 3 map packs was on its way.      Naughty Dog's Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception has been out for less than two weeks and yet is packed with an immensely large amount of downloadable content. The content available to download now are classic skins for multiplayer from the previous Uncharted games, but hopefully in the future we will see some game modes, maps, and customization features added.      The featured image to the right showcases some of the skins that have been transferred from Uncharted 2: Among Thieves to the new Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. The Playstation Store is packed with a total of 3 character skin bundles and are available to download for a reasonable price.

      Unfortunately I am yet to embark on the quest with fortune hunter Nathan Drake that launched the Uncharted franchise. From what I hear, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was miles away from it's predecessor. Being someone who played and loved the second installment to the series, I took upon myself the quest to get my hands on a copy of Uncharted 3 on it's release day. Now I come to you today and say,"I have done it, Oh yes I have done it!"

     If you were lucky enough to get your hands on a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception following its release, you might of found an exclusive access code to the Starhawk multiplayer beta.       Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception's online multiplayer is completely fun. With all of the awesome features and customization abilities available, this game is a blast. One of the features that makes the online portion of this game cool is the "Kickbacks", which in a way are much like the "Killstreaks" available in Call of Duty. The difference is in Uncharted you earn the strategic feature by collecting awards during matches.       One of the Kickbacks is called "RPG" and it pretty much says what it does. Once you have earned 10 medals in a game all you have to do is press the "Up" arrow and you will get to use an RPG. Use it wisely though, you only get one rocket.

     One of the many multiplayer "Kickbacks" available in Uncharted 3 is the "Speedy G" Kickback. This Kickback allows the user, once they have earned enough medals in the match, to move noticeably faster than normal. This Kickback can be activated once the player has earned 7 medals during the match and will last for 20 seconds. Check out this awesome feature in action in the Youtube video by user 'bitsofbacon'.

     One of the awesome multiplayer "Kickbacks" in Uncharted 3 is called the "Creepy Crawler" and it allows you to transform into a swarm of spiders. Check it out in the video below.      My first reaction to the spider related Kickback was something along the lines of, "How random!" I thought that the Creepy Crawler Kickback would have nothing to do with the game whatsoever, but believe me it does. Expect to see some "Creepy Crawlers" in Uncharted 3's story mode on numerous occasions.      This Kickback can be purchased when a user gets around rank 50, give or take a few ranks, in Drake's Deception's multiplayer.           The developer at Naughty Dog sure know how to deliver a compelling story and have provided proof to back up my statement with the Uncharted series. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune was the first release and kicked off the franchise with an awesome story. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves followed delivering an even better story, more attractive graphics, and the online multiplayer and cooperative features. Now the third installment is here and is purely amazing.
