Starhawk Public Multiplayer Beta Is Approaching

The Starhawk Public Multiplayer Beta is coming. Get all the info before it become available.

Assassins Creed: Revelations PSN Multiplayer Beta Public Access

The Assassins Creed: Revelations Multiplayer Beta is going great and is now open to all Playstation Network users. When the beta was initially released, it was set aside for use by, and only by Playstation Plus members. Now everyone can get into some killer free running maneuvers, and breathtaking takedowns as they assume the role of an Assassin.           One of the downsides of not being a PS Plus subscriber, is that you only get access to the beta for a mere three days. The beta will officially go offline and be deemed unusable on September 11th, 2011. So if you are into the whole Assassins Creed franchise, this is a great way to get a hands on experience with the upcoming release.

Congratulations, you are reading my first ever Little Big Planet 2: Community Level of the Week. My objective with this is to let people around the world know about the awesome user created levels that I have played and fell in love with every week. I do hope you do find some fun with these awe inspiring levels that will make you press the D-Pad arrow up three times and show off the ecstatic face of your little Sackthing.

Little Big Planet 2: Free Costume Coming September 7th, 2011

Everyone who has either Little Big Planet, or Little Big Planet 2 knows that every once and a while Media Molecule, the developers, release a free costume for a limited time. Starting on September 7th, 2011 a new free costume will be available for download via Playstation Store.      This World Peace Day costume will be available, as it appears in the description, forever. So you shouldn't have to hustle over the PS Store right away. However, I would download it as soon as possible, you know, just in case I am wrong.       This costume comes with an Earthly Hat for your little Sackthing to prance around in, a stylish looking shirt with a white Pigeon in the center, and flag boasting the universal sign of peace (no, really it is a peace sign). You can take a look at this upcoming costume, visually of course, by checking out the images below. Be sure to check back here at the Swoboda Reviews blog for al...

Playstation Store to be Restored by End of the Week

Many Playstation Network users are rejoicing over the announced return of the Playstation Store. For those of you who do not know what the Playstation Store is, allow me to take some time to introduce you to this feature.      The Playstation Store, or PS Store as it can be stated more easily, is an online component provided to registered members of the Playstation Network. The PS Store allows PSN members to download and stream a large variety of content to and from their Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable (PSP) Handhelds. Sony's PS Store offers the PSN users downloadable content; Such as Game Demos, Trailers, Full Movies, Full TV Shows, Downloadable Content (DLC), Full Games, Music, and much more.      Over one month ago the Playstation Network was hacked by an outside force ( evidence points to Hacking Group Anonymous ) and in protective action Sony shutdown the entire Playstation Network. On May 14th, 2011 Sony ...

(PS3) Problems Arrise with LA Noire Edition for PS3 Console

Now that the Playstation Network is back up, it appears that many people are having troubles with the LA Noire PS3 release of the game. It is apparent to most that this version of the game lags at times, and overheats the PS3 console causing the system to perform a force shutdown. The precise problem of the defect is not clear. Could it be the actual game, or the recent release of PS3 Firmware update that was distributed in order to get the PSN back up and running. No one at this moment knows for sure, but it is clear that both Sony and Rockstar games are investigating the problem.      From the comments that I have come across while researching this problem, I have noticed that many people say that they experiece the issues playing LA Noire on the Original 60 GB Fat Model of the Playstation 3. If you would like to learn more about this issue, please visit the Official Playstation Blog at http://www.blog.us.playstation.com/ .

Sony has selected 10 downloadable games (5 for PS3, and 5 for PSP) that the users may download for free. Users will get to pick 2 games from the list to download for free. PSN Hackers Verified: At Last the Hacking Group has Been Confirmed

Finally the group of Playstation Network hackers who spawned the recent PSN outage are now confirmed. The group behind this hacking is finally confirmed, even though most of you already knew this. "We discovered that the intruders had planted a file on one of our Sony Online Entertainment servers named “Anonymous” with the words “We are Legion.” "  -Patrick Seybold PS Blog      Hacker Group Anonymous is behind it and wants everyone to know including Sony. The group made sure that everyone knew it was them by uploading a file titled "Anonymous" and with the text "We are Legion". After compiling a google search of both quoted terms together it comes up with the following page at the very top:  http://www.yalelawtech.org/anonymity-online-identity/we-are-anonymous-we-are-legion/

Playstation Network Hacking puts User's Personal Information at Risk

If you are a Playstation gamer of any sort you know that the online component to Sony's franchise has been down for about six days and counting. Now after six days with no legitimate explanation from Sony we are finally exposed to critical information that we should of been told right away. It turns out that the PSN was indeed hacked by an outside force (an "external intrusion" as a PSN Blog Official posts). Today we many PSN users are informed by Sony themselves that all of our account information is at risk. If you have billing information linked to your Playstation Network account then your bank account could be at risk. A post earlier today (April 26th, 2011) on the Playstation Blog urges users to pay close attention to their bank accounts in order to catch any mysterious charges made. They also urged users to change their account passwords as soon as the option becomes available (when the PSN and Qriocity services starts running again).
