The Top 5 Games of 2013

Whether we like it or not, the end of the year is quickly rolling upon us. What a great year it has been for the gaming industry. We had the release of two brand new "next-generation" consoles which were welcome additions to both the Playstation and Xbox families (that is really exciting). However, I'm not here today to talk about hardware. Today is the day that I highlight my list of The Top 5 Video Games of 2013! Queue the annual collage! 5. Battlefield 4 (Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PC) Why did it make the cut? Battlefield 4 has the potential to be the top-tier competitive first-person shooter on the market. With the capabilities of spawning massive 64-player battles on next-generation consoles and PC, the game is definitely a plus for multiplayer fanatics out there. With fluid gameplay, a revitalized mechanic and graphics engine and flat out beautiful scenery, Battlefield 4 delivers one of the most amazing games, in my opinion, that the ...

Battlefield 3: Introduction to Battlelog

If you have gotten a chance to play the newer Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit (as opposed to the much older one that could be played on GameCube and Playstation 2) you might know about the Autolog feature. Battlefield 3: Multiplayer Beta First Impressions

With the recent release of the Battlefield 3: Public Access Multiplayer Beta, I have much to say. This game appears, to me atleast, to have changed. I felt as if I wasn't playing the Battlefield I was used to.      The urban multiplayer map available in the Beta appeared to be somewhat of a change to the Battlefield genre. I am used to the large open-world maps available in it's predecessors, such as Battlefield: Bad Company 2. The Operation Metro map holds a surprising change to the series, and I believe it is a change for the good. This type of map gave the feel of a more tactical online shooter experience. With close quarter combat always seeming to lurk around the corner, you have to be constantly on you guard.      Teamwork appears to play an essential role in Battlefield 3 multiplayer. It is very difficult to acquire kills and advance into the enemy lines moving as a "lone-wolf." I found myself, to quote the Hang...

Battlefiled 3: Possible 2 Disc Release for XBOX 360

For those of you XBOX 360 owners, this is a bit of a rumor, more so than a confirmed detail.       Battlefield 3 for XBOX 360 may come with not one, but two discs. This is most likely, if at all, due to the games massive content amount. One disc will contain the single-player campaign, while the other will contain the massive online portion. Please keep in mind that this is not a confirmed detail Image Source: http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/hatima/imgs/0/4/04a6c197.png           The above image states that the XBOX 360 version will include "DVD-ROMx2", while the Playstation 3 version will include "BD-ROMx1."
