Whether we like it or not, the end of the year is quickly rolling upon us. What a great year it has been for the gaming industry. We had the release of two brand new "next-generation" consoles which were welcome additions to both the Playstation and Xbox families (that is really exciting). However, I'm not here today to talk about hardware. Today is the day that I highlight my list of The Top 5 Video Games of 2013! Queue the annual collage! 5. Battlefield 4 (Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, PC) Why did it make the cut? Battlefield 4 has the potential to be the top-tier competitive first-person shooter on the market. With the capabilities of spawning massive 64-player battles on next-generation consoles and PC, the game is definitely a plus for multiplayer fanatics out there.      Video game sequels can get a bit dull now-a-days, especially when developers start spewing them out as if they were rendered on a mechanical manufacturing line. Since we, as a gaming community, are exposed quite often to sequels that were "rushed out of the gate", we might be getting ourselves into a terrible dilema. However, there are some sequels that just blow you away. With mind-blowing mechanics, a simply amazing plot, and a noticeable step up from the previous release. Rocksteady recently came out to thank the many members of it's Batman: Arkham City community for their "incredible support before, during and after the game's release."      As a gift the developers have released a free piece of downloadable content for players to use as they traverse the many things to do in Arkham City. The "Batman Inc. Batsuit Skin" (featured below) can be downloaded for free through the Playstation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Games for Windows Marketplace for PC owners.      In addition to the free downloadable skin, the game Director at Rocksteady Studios also unveiled a cheat code. The cheat code will enable the use of all Batman Skins while playing the story mode. To use the code press the following combination on the main menu, after you have selected your saved data.      How incredible is this? Gotham City Impostors appears to have all the elements of a classic First Person Shooter combined with all the fun and unpredictability of the the heroes and villains of Gotham City.      Basically, the entire plot of this game is "When Batman is away, Impostors will play." Their are two teams that are dedicated to battling out by all means necessary. The Batman impostors who dress up as closely as they can to the caped crusader, look completely unprofessional.      To be completely honest, Batman was not one of my favorite comic book heroes. With the depressive and grim vibe that his story gave off, I tended to avoid affiliation with anything "the Dark Knight" related. When the Batman movie series was reignited with the release of Batman Begins and the Dark Knight I began to change the mindset I had developed for Batman. When I got my hands on the Batman: Arkham Asylum game, I found myself in a state of complete and utter amazement.       Batman: Arkham City is set for release on October 18th, 2011. Rather than going on a pre-release rant on how this game is awesome (I mean who actually knows if a game is going to be awesome if they have never even played it), this post is hopefully going to tell you a little about the villains that you might just see popping up in Gotham when you get into the game.
