Arkham City: Get the "x50 Combo" Achievement/Trophy Recommendations

Get some helpful tips for use on your quest to accumulate a x50 combo in Batman: Arkham City.    .
Having some difficulty unlocking the "x50 Combo" achievement or trophy? Not too worry, I am sure you are not alone so today I am going to bring you some good ole' recommendations.

When I finally unlocked this trophy I was playing in the Riddler's Revenge mode.

After loading up the Riddler's Revenge mode I proceeded to the Ranked Challenges.

Under Combat Challenges I loaded the Survival of the Fittest map and took a swing at the thugs in my attempt to unlock the "x50 Combo" achievement/trophy.

On the third round (Round 3) of the Survival of the Fittest combat map I was able to successfully accumulate a combo of 50 strikes, and slightly beyond. Although, the fourth round (Round 4) of the challenge will work as well.

Tip for Stringing up Large Combos:
While you can just tap the Strike button to attack without having to worry, there is a specific timing and a method to stringing together large combos. Tap the Strike button to hit a single thug. After you have hit him, move the directional stick in the direction of the next thug you want to take a whack at and then tap Strike once again. The key is to not tap Strike randomly and "blindly". The combo gauge does not just disappear if you refrain from hitting someone the very next split second. You have a second or two in between hits and they'll still link together. What kills a combo is swinging at thin air, which comes from feverishly tapping the Strike button, being struck, or hitting a thug equipped with a shield.
