Infamous 2 has been out for a little over six months now and it ranked well amongst various reviewers in 2011, but the overall amount of players and "create mode" contributions seems to be lacking.
According to the up to date stats located on the official inFAMOUS 2 website, the game has accumulated a total numbering delicately under one million total players. In the "creation mode" sense, players have only created, in total, a little over 100,000 missions.
Comparing the game's overall creations to that of Media Molecule's over one million for the Little Big Planet series gets a gamer wondering what turned people away.
Then you get into the overall plays for each creation. When comparing the plays on a level, or creation, featured in the "Sucker Punch Picks" category to one featured in Little Big Planet's "Media Molecule Picks" you can't help but notice the huge difference in plays.
Then you compare the total plays to the Little Big Planet 2's MM Picks section.
The levels from Little Big Planet 2 that are featured in the "Picks" section have well over triple the overall plays of the levels featured in Infamous 2's.
Was it the more serious tone of Infamous 2 that posed as a turn off, or something completely different?
