Playstation Store to be Restored by End of the Week

Many Playstation Network users are rejoicing over the announced return of the Playstation Store. For those of you who do not know what the Playstation Store is, allow me to take some time to introduce you to this feature.

The Playstation Store, or PS Store as it can be stated more easily, is an online component provided to registered members of the Playstation Network. The PS Store allows PSN members to download and stream a large variety of content to and from their Playstation 3 and Playstation Portable (PSP) Handhelds. Sony's PS Store offers the PSN users downloadable content; Such as Game Demos, Trailers, Full Movies, Full TV Shows, Downloadable Content (DLC), Full Games, Music, and much more.

Over one month ago the Playstation Network was hacked by an outside force (evidence points to Hacking Group Anonymous) and in protective action Sony shutdown the entire Playstation Network. On May 14th, 2011 Sony restored some, but not all, of the Playstation Network features. Features like Online Multiplayer and Playstation Home were restored, but the Store was not in line, or even scheduled for a restoration time. Now over a month after the PSN was shutdown, the Official PS Blog has announced that all of the features of the PSN will be restored by the end of this week. Hopefully Sony is able to fulfill this goal, because I myself have a ten dollar Playstation Store Redeem code that needs spending.

Sony announced a "Welcome Back Program" not too long ago for users of the Playstation Network. Some features of this program have been announced, such as one free month of Playstation Plus, discounted PS Store downloads, some sort of free Movie Rental weekend, and hopefully a whole lot more cool stuff. It is beginning to look as if times are beginning to appear a whole lot brighter for us Playstation users.

Batman: Arkham City Review

Video game sequels can get a bit dull now-a-days, especially when developers start spewing them out as if they were rendered on a mechanical manufacturing line. Since we, as a gaming community, are exposed quite often to sequels that were "rushed out of the gate", we might be getting ourselves into a terrible dilema. However, there are some sequels that just blow you away. With mind-blowing mechanics, a simply amazing plot, and a noticeable step up from the previous release. Arkham City is sure to completely transform anyone who gets their hands on this game into the Dark Knight. Plot      In the previous release, Batman: Arkham Asylum, the facility on Arkham Island is left in ruins thanks to the menacing Joker's all out plan. In desperate need for a new facility to imprison Gotham's most dangerous thugs, Professor Hugo Strange is elected warden and is given approval to set up a new facility in the slums of Gotham City. In an attempt to ...
