Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Review

      Unfortunately I am yet to embark on the quest with fortune hunter Nathan Drake that launched the Uncharted franchise. From what I hear, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was miles away from it's predecessor. Being someone who played and loved the second installment to the series, I took upon myself the quest to get my hands on a copy of Uncharted 3 on it's release day. Now I come to you today and say,"I have done it, Oh yes I have done it!"




Genre Defining Interactivity    
 
     I believe that I speak for everyone when I say that Uncharted 3 has taken a huge leap forward in terms of interactivity. I found myself wielding flaming torches in order to light the way through darkened places, using a binocular like object to locate objectives and solve puzzles, and taking the reigns of a valiant horse. The interactivity that this game possesses is nothing short of perfection and for me gave the game a realistic appeal.

Multiplayer    

     The multiplayer mode has taken a huge step forward from Uncharted 2's. Now players can customize the way their character looks and talks. I found myself in awe at the ability to purchase a Ghillie Suit, though I still am far from even getting close to it. With a variety of clothes and accessories, players can now make their Uncharted 3 character their own.

Uncharted 3: First Map Pack Brings 4 Awesome Maps

Naughty Dog came out earlier today to announce their first batch of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception download-able content for 2012. Get ready for a bundle of maps rebuilt from the previous game, Uncharted 2, as well as a wide variety of your favorite Uncharted characters “pre Weight Watchers” style. Naughty Dog is bringing back four sweet maps from Uncharted 2: The Cave, Fort, Lost City, and Sanctuary maps are now part of the playing field in Uncharted 3. “Dynamic lighting effects, new particle effects and a slew of technical changes have been made to these maps” which in turn revamps the four original Among Thieves maps. Without a subscription to the Fortune Hunters Club DLC Pass the map pack will cost $9.99 USD. In addition to the brand new maps, come the implementation of an “Uncharted Donut Pack” so you can play as your favorite Uncharted character, but in the pudgy overweight "donut" form.
