Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand Expansion Pack Details

New Maps, Weapons, Vehicles, and more.

Prepare for some brand new, possibly epic, Battlefield 3 content with the upcoming release of the Back to Karkand expansion pack. You may be wondering what dazzling new features and goodies are to come. Well all you need to do is stick around here and we will "fill you in" on the details.

Who Gets a Shot at this Killer Content First?

Don't you just hate exclusive content releases? Why should someone on, for example, a Playstation 3 get some sweet Battlefield 3 content before Xbox 360? Well that appears to be the case with Battlefield 3. The Back to Karkand expansion pack hits the PSN on December 6th. All of you Xbox Livers (is that what they call them) have to wait a week following the PSN release. Oh well, it is not like Xbox Live gets content for a game like, I don't know, Call of Duty a full freaking month before the Playstation.

New Maps

To expect everything but some new multiplayer maps would be ridiculous for Battlefield players. Luckily those kind fellows at DICE understand what is going on in the common addictive gamer's mind (please feel free to challenge me on that in the comments). Yep, DICE has completely revamped and revisioned 4 classic maps from Battlefield 2. Expect to be both mentally and physically (in the game that is) blown away with a blast from the past.

Expect to see the completely Frostbite 2-ified:
Wake Island
Sharqi Peninsula
Gulf of Oman
Strike at Karkand

New Vehicles
Here come some brand new vehicles! The Back to Karkand expansion pack is bringing three new playable vehicles. Now players can wreak havoc from the sky in the Stovl Fighter Jet, traverse through rough terrain in the Desert Buggy, and unleash wave upon wave of rounds from the New APC.

New Weapons
Details are vague and unconfirmed as of now, but what you should expect to see with the Back to Karkand expansion pack is 10 brand new weapons. So far there is no word on which weapons specifically, but hopefully that information will be released soon.

  What else is there?

  • Classic Conquest Assault from Battlefield 2
  • 5 New Trophies and Achievements

Gotham City Impostors Combines FPS with Superheroes

How incredible is this? Gotham City Impostors appears to have all the elements of a classic First Person Shooter combined with all the fun and unpredictability of the the heroes and villains of Gotham City.      Basically, the entire plot of this game is "When Batman is away, Impostors will play." Their are two teams that are dedicated to battling out by all means necessary. The Batman impostors who dress up as closely as they can to the caped crusader, look completely unprofessional. They are not what you would expect Batman to look like, but that is the entire point of this game. On the other team lies the maniacal Joker impostors who make themselves useful by going on insane rants when the real Batman is busy.      Gotham City Impostors is an all multiplayer game and will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in  early 2012. This game will be download only, so if you are interested you might want to have a way to purchase the content.
