Top 5 Moments from the Modern Warfare Series

Infinity Ward has brought Call of Duty fans, without a doubt, some truly amazing moments through out the entire Modern Warfare series. Get ready because this article is about to get explosive.

1. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Nuclear Explosion

Why it made the cut?
In my opinion this was a pivotal moment in the Modern Warfare series. When you find yourself boarding the chopper with the wounded pilot for the first time the last thing that you would think of happening next is a nuclear explosion going off and killing thousands of people. It was devastating, but a key element in the game. It showed that the enemy was willing to do anything in order to win.

2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Escaping the Gulag

Why it made the cut?
This moment is probably one of the most appealing scenes in the entire series. You have massive explosions and structures being blown to rubble as you are extracted from the Gulag.

3. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 EMP and Aftermath on Washington DC

Why it made the cut?
From a destruction maniac's perception, this scene is epic. It starts off by taking the player somewhere the series has never taken them before, to a satelite hovering thousands of miles away from the Earth. Player then act as Recon for NASA in an attempt to identify an unknown object. Turns out that object was a nuke and it pretty much destroys the satelite and causes a "rain of flaming aircrafts" to fall all over Washington DC.

4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: The Eiffel Tower Goes Down

Why it made the cut?
It's the freaking Eiffel Tower going down! How could it not make the cut?
To see a significant piece of France's history blow up and collapse is amazing, but at the time it is saddening. This moment shows that Call of Duty knows no limits. Call of Duty is real.

5. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3: Makarov's Death (Viewer Discretion Advised)

Why it made the cut?
First off I would like to clarify that I am not a sadistic psychopath. Yes this scene is very graphic, but I did not choose it because I enjoy watching people being killed in a terribly gruesome way. I chose it because it gives closure to the Modern Warfare series. It lets the player know that the antagonist, after three complete games, is completely wiped out. Now the world is a bit safer thanks to Captain Price.
