Top 10 "Holy $H!T" Video Game Moments of 2011

Take a look at VGAuthority's Top Ten Video Game moments of 2011.

I think it's safe to say that 2011 brought gamers a whole load of amazing moments. From the world becoming safer due to the sadistic act of murder committed by Captain Price to a very strange Battlefield 3 moment, 2011 offered players all around the world a chance to scream "Holy $H!T."

Spoiler Alert: Don't you get to thinking that I ruined this for you. You came here at your own will.

Modern Warfare 3: Eifel Tower Going Down

When you find yourself going head on with some messed up military forces a typical day in Paris can end up turning into a living hell. You find yourself nestled behind piles of sandbags and behold...Holy $H!T, the Eiffel Tower is collapsing. Seriously, thanks for being a huge dooche Makarov. Thanks for spawning a world wide conflict, which then destroys a piece of France's significant history.

Batman: Arkham City Battling Mr. Freeze

What do you get when Mr. Freeze tries to play a very unfriendly game of cat and mouse with Batman. A seemingly scary Holy $H!T moment. Don't you worry though, if you are like me after a few sessions of trial and error you will defeat this frozen baddy.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Halucination Atlantis of the Sands

Don't drink the water, don't drink the water. Oh $H!T... you drank the water.

Playstation's favored treasure hunter watches as his long time mentor is shot and shortly after dies. This was enough to ruin my day. Show no fear, because it turns out that it was all a halucination caused by some “genie infested” water. Man, If I had nickle for every time I ran into that problem.

Freddy Kreuger DLC Addition to Mortal Kombat

Last year will forever be put in my books as the year that the intensely horrific king of nightmares that become a playable character in Mortal Kombat. Like it wasn't bad enough that I had to sit through the Nightmare on Elm Street movies as a kid (great choice for a family flick). Now I guess I have to download a piece of downloadable content and conquer my fears. Oh... and Holy $H!T!

Batman: Arkham City The Dark Knight's “Clown” Kicks the Bucket

As the chaos in Arkham City begins to dampen, Batman's most maniacal enemy passes on. If you are under the impression that Batman was behind this then you are wrong. Batman does not kill! Seriously though, what the Holy $H!T!

Battlefield 3: Beta's Weird Extended Neck Glitch while Prone

This next one is more of a glitch, rather than an actual planned moment. I just could not bare the thought of not including this Holy $H!T moment. Hopefully this was fixed for the game's release.

Modern Warfare 3: Makarov's Pays the Price

Ah yes, a world wide conflict has ended and it is all thanks to good old Captain Price and a noose. If this moment isn't enough to make you say “Holy $H!T” then...well...um...

Gears of War 3: Dom's Ultimate Sacrifice

Brave Dominic. You paid the ultimate sacrifice to bring down the Locust Horde and save his comrades. What a perfect time to die. I mean, the end of the Gears of War series is probably the best time to kill off a character that has been their since the beginning. Anyway, take a look at this Holy $H!T moment.

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception: British Brute Battle in the Bar's Bathroom

A game has always got to start with a moment that clinches the player. Uncharted 3 did just that with the, what I like to call, the “Big British Brute Battle in the Bar's Bathroom.” This opening moment involves an abnormally large British man and Nathan Drake's head being thrown into a public restroom toilet. This is literally a Holy $H!T moment.

Batman: Arkham City Entering the Prison as Bruce Wayne

Hugo Strange needs to stop Batman from making any attempts to foil his Arkham City plot, so he takes advantage of his knowledge of Bruce Wayne being Batman and pretty much kidnaps him when he is most vulnerable. When you first assume the role of Batman in the game, you will be saying the words “Holy” and “$H!T.”

What moments made you scream “Holy $H!T” in 2011?

Gotham City Impostors Combines FPS with Superheroes

How incredible is this? Gotham City Impostors appears to have all the elements of a classic First Person Shooter combined with all the fun and unpredictability of the the heroes and villains of Gotham City.      Basically, the entire plot of this game is "When Batman is away, Impostors will play." Their are two teams that are dedicated to battling out by all means necessary. The Batman impostors who dress up as closely as they can to the caped crusader, look completely unprofessional. They are not what you would expect Batman to look like, but that is the entire point of this game. On the other team lies the maniacal Joker impostors who make themselves useful by going on insane rants when the real Batman is busy.      Gotham City Impostors is an all multiplayer game and will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in  early 2012. This game will be download only, so if you are interested you might want to have a way to purchase the content.
