Kinect Adventures Review

Kinect Adventures is a game that harnesses the power of Microsoft's Kinect motion technology. Check out my Kinect Adventures Review.

This last Christmas brought so many amazing things. Whether I found myself hanging out with my family, or fiddling with the cool and thoughtful gifts that came my way, I had an overall great time. One of the amazing gifts that flew my families way this past holiday season was an Xbox 360 Slim with Kinect. At first I was skeptical about the idea of having an Xbox again (previously I had endured through many troubles pertaining to the infamous "Red Rings of Death", and hard drive failure), but I was not going to let that keep from giving the acclaimed Kinect a shot.

Most of the time when an Xbox 360 is purchased brand new you will find a full game packed in the box. The game that we discovered in the box was Microsoft's Kinect Adventures and I gotta say that this game is amazing.

Kinect Adventures features a rapid rafting game.
Kinect Adventures is a game that harnesses the power of Microsoft's Kinect motion technology. The game features 21 different games that are guaranteed to get anyone jumping, ducking, dodging, etc. Usually I prefer to stray from games that involve moving anything other than my fingers, but this game intrigued. I ended up getting into the action with my family, and the entire time I was having fun.

Something that you don't see to often in video games is the ability for younger kids to play. With Kinect Adventures this is not the case. To my surprise the younger kids were doing better than I was. After a while I was even more shocked when I watched them navigate through the menu by themselves. Surely this game is meant for more than just adults or teenagers, but for people of all ages (although I do not recommend that you get your newborns in on the fun).

The Verdict

Kinect Adventures is one of those games that throws players into both fun and difficult situations. Although this game has the ability to be played with only one player, I found myself having the most fun when I played with my family.

You will find that there is a total of 21 different game modes that throw players into a moving frenzy. Playtime and variety are pushed to the limits (possibly beyond).

Overall Kinect Adventures is a fun way to hang out with your family, play some games, and get some exercise while in the process.

This game is a must have for every family that own a Kinect.

Gotham City Impostors Combines FPS with Superheroes

How incredible is this? Gotham City Impostors appears to have all the elements of a classic First Person Shooter combined with all the fun and unpredictability of the the heroes and villains of Gotham City.      Basically, the entire plot of this game is "When Batman is away, Impostors will play." Their are two teams that are dedicated to battling out by all means necessary. The Batman impostors who dress up as closely as they can to the caped crusader, look completely unprofessional. They are not what you would expect Batman to look like, but that is the entire point of this game. On the other team lies the maniacal Joker impostors who make themselves useful by going on insane rants when the real Batman is busy.      Gotham City Impostors is an all multiplayer game and will be available for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC in  early 2012. This game will be download only, so if you are interested you might want to have a way to purchase the content.
